How the embeds work

  • Live or frozen. A live embed updates when we re-check the records behind it, and always shows the date its figures are as of. A frozen embed shows the figures recorded in a dated report snapshot (the latest was taken October 15, 2026) and never changes, so a number in a published story keeps meaning what it meant.
  • Sourced like the site. Each fact comes from the vendor’s own pages, and each embed links to the listing or page with the source links. “Unconfirmed” means the vendor doesn’t say publicly; we don’t infer it.
  • No tracking inside the frame. Embeds load no analytics, ads, fonts or other third-party files and set no cookies. They are small HTML pages that size themselves to fit.
  • Where iframes don’t work (Substack, most email newsletters, some apps), use the image code, or link to the page: its share image shows the key figures.
  • Paste a link. Publishing tools that support oEmbed discovery can embed a tool, comparison, category or the funding tracker from its page URL.

Terms and corrections

Embeds, images and the dataset are free to use under CC BY 4.0. Keep the credit line, which links to the source page.
