How we verify listings

Each listing is a factual summary of what a vendor says about itself in official documents, checked on a stated date and linked to the pages we read. We don’t test products, publish ratings or estimate savings.

Sources we accept

The vendor’s own website, trust or security center, privacy policy, AI or data-use terms, documentation and newsroom; press releases issued by the company; the lead investor’s own funding announcement; SEC filings and investor-relations pages for public companies; and the official app marketplaces run by ledger providers for integration claims.

We don’t cite review sites, funding databases, news coverage or other directories as evidence. They can point us to an official page, but the listing links to that official page.

Unconfirmed is a finding

When an official source doesn’t state a fact, the listing says unconfirmed. That often means the vendor hasn’t published it, not that the answer is bad. A vendor that wants a field updated can point us to the page that states it.

  • Checked against the linked official source on the date shown.
  • Unconfirmed: we could not find an official statement.

Trains on customer data

The vendor's published policy says customer data is not used to train AI models.
Opt-out available
The policy allows training on customer data by default, and customers can opt out.
Yes
The policy says customer data, in some form, is used to train or improve models. The note on the listing gives the detail.

We could not find a published statement that answers the question.

Human review

Human review
AI output is reviewed by a person before it takes effect, either your team or the vendor's staff.
Configurable
Customers set rules or thresholds that decide what runs automatically and what goes to review.
Autonomous
The vendor describes the product as processing work without human review by default.
Unconfirmed
The vendor's materials do not make this clear.

Free plan

Yes
A free plan is listed on the vendor's site. A free trial does not count.
No
The vendor's pricing shows no free plan.
Unconfirmed
Pricing is not public or does not say.

Customers

Who the vendor says the product is for: Small business, CPA firms, Mid-market, Enterprise. We record only segments the vendor names or clearly targets on its own pages.

Ledger integrations

We track five systems: QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics. An integration counts when the vendor documents it or lists it in the ledger provider’s official marketplace. Other notable integrations are noted on each listing.

Pricing

The starting price is the lowest published price for a plan that includes the product, as shown on the vendor’s pricing page on the verified date, with its billing basis. A free trial is not a free plan.

Funding

Rounds, amounts and investors appear only when the company or its lead investor announced them. Totals appear only when the company states a total.

No ratings, no rankings

Lists are alphabetical by default and can be ordered by verification date. There are no star ratings because we have not published a testing methodology that would support them; if we ever add one, it will be documented here first. We don’t publish ROI or time-savings figures, including ones vendors quote.

Sponsorship

Sponsored placements, if any, carry a visible “Sponsored” label wherever they appear. The facts on a listing come from the vendor’s own pages either way. Outbound links to vendors are marked nofollow.

Updates and corrections

Each listing shows the date it was last verified. We recheck listings on a rolling basis and whenever a reader or vendor sends evidence of a change. To report an error, email contact@aiaccountingvendors.com with the official page that shows the correct information. See About for who publishes this site.

Not advice

Listings describe what vendors say. They are not legal, tax, accounting, security or purchasing advice, and a listing is not an endorsement. Confirm anything that matters to your decision with the vendor in writing.
